badasskili-deactivated20131208: Kíli darted up behind Tauriel, light on his feet by a dwarf's standards, climbing onto the fallen tree behind her, for once taller. He curled his arms around her neck and pressed a kiss to her ear, feeling particularly bold. "Boo." He grinned, having no misconceptions about the fact that Tauriel had most likely been very aware of his approach.

She stood light on her feet, swaying with the wind just as the leaves in the trees did. The scent of musk and steel came downwind carrying the familiar sound of the archer; Kili.

Tauriel could not deny the oddity of his gesture: the mere fact he climbed to such a height, embraced her and even kissed her ear— spurring a shudder as her ear was highly sensitive, and physically as well as emotionally; being rather too large for her liking. A

faint blush lit her cheeks as she turned to face him. “Boo? Is this a word of your kin?”

Lithe hands reached around his form, holding him to her as she stepped back from the tree lifting him to rest against her torso with his legs wrapped around her hips. “It is a greeting of sorts, I assume, yes? ….. Boo back.” Her smile exposed feline white teeth.

Kíli let out a laugh, entwining himself around her in the most graceful way possible for a dwarf, which essentially entailed doing his best not to kick her with his enormously clunky boots. “It’s supposed to be something you say when you’re trying to scare or surprise someone… My father used to chase Fí and I around the woods, and he’d sneak up on us, and jump out, and - yell it, I suppose.” Kíli trailed off, partially because he noted with embarrassment that he was rambling once again, but also because he realized that he knew absolutely nothing about Tauriel’s family.

“Do you have any family?” Kíli asked all of a sudden, not thinking about how odd it was to speak of such subjects while wrapped around another. Then again, his tact had never been particularly strong. “If you don’t mind me asking, of course.” Kíli added hurriedly, hoping he hadn’t broached a touchy subject.

“Ah, is that so? well, i dont suppose the height or the fact Im holding you scares you.”

She carried him as though he were a child and she a mother. Protectively and somewhat possessively as she began to wander, listening to his words, the woods and the wind. It was nice that he had such a sweet life, she mused, inclining her head and nodding in due points as he spoke.

“I do have a family.” She didn’t give herself away, hiking the dwarf higher upon her hip for fear that he was falling. “They just… Do not live here anymore.” Had he been as receptive as her elven kin he would have noticed her heart quicken and her small delay as she watched her words carefully. She didn’t really like talking about the past– it brought up too many wounds.
