An unpopular pet peeve in regards to role play;

I just really want my Tauriel to be independent, strong, courageous and deserving of her position. I feel like as a mun I have to fight for this more than any other, more than any Thranduil or Legolas for their position. No one ever challenges them; its Tolkien law for them to govern the silvans, so why would they have to prove anything in a roleplay? (Oh because maybe Tolkien already set the stage for how noble and courageous they are) but strike me down lest there be a young, female silvan elf as a captain over probably a good majority of Silvan elves.

I just– the logic I have sometime. Why is Tauriel always challenged for authority, but no Thranduil or Legolas ever is?
