And since he didn’t say it out loud, he knew the concept to be honest. It wasn’t flattery or snark, simple fact. He wanted to say aww you’re so cute when you’re angry but he knew this was not the time. Whatever rift he had just created — though it wasn’t like they had been particularly close before — a comment like that would make it worse.

So he simply silently agreed to the notion of finding shelter, though he never truly minded the snow, having grown up in it. He watched her walk, how she seemed to be taller, only to realize her feet never went below the snow.

“Is that natural?” He finally spoke up, his usual tone returned, as if nothing had happened.

Tauriel wouldn’t look back to see him, she could hear him crunching snow beneath his feet as he followed, he always followed her. This thought brought a faint smile to pressed lips. Her wolfno.

The line reformed as she straightened herself out, she was a warrior not a maiden batting her lashes. Her commitment laid with her duties and honor, her king and kin.

“–is what natural?” She questioned, still rigid but slowly warming to the subject change as she casted stark green eyes to his form.
